The location is not super central but provides a good starting point for exploring the city, especially for visiting Taksim, Besiktas, and Ortaköy. The dining experience was great with an included breakfast but not up to the standard of an international hotel chain.
I have to say, my stay at the Mercure Bosphorus was quite a mix of highs and lows. The rooms, despite not being as spacious as they seemed in the pictures, were incredibly clean, nice, and equipped with all modern amenities, offering a lovely view of the Bosphorus. The service was top-notch with extremely polite and helpful staff making my stay super friendly. The location, being the hotel's main plus point, was great for exploring Faruk Yùksa and other nearby attractions, although getting taxis was a bit of a hassle due to traffic issues. The dining experience was quite enjoyable with a good variety, even though some improvements could make it truly 5-star. The facilities were decent but could benefit from enhancements to match the hotel's luxurious vibe.
